Issues worth fighting for!

Troops. Home. Now.

American soldiers are dying in Iraq. They are dying in Afghanistan. They are stationed in 50 other countries around the world. Our war spending is approaching a trillion dollars. We must cut spending everywhere, but especially here. We must get our soldiers home, and back into our schools, our businesses, and our families.  We must strongly defend the US, NOT authoritarian regimes and oil companies abroad.

A Better Way to Green

While other candidates propose massive subsidies and government control, we must put the power in the hands of the people, not the bureaucrats. Property owners must have full rights to their property, so conservation groups can protect vital areas without fear of eminent domain abuses or political whim. Private investment in alternative energy must be allowed without the mountains of red tape and endless litigation. We should untie the hands of auto manufacturers who have been micromanaged by an alphabet soup of federal agencies.

Stop Spending Our Money

About $3 trillion per year now, or about $10,000 per person per year.  Michiganders have cut spending in this poor economy.  Government should do the same.

Stop Spending Our Grandchildren's Money

Since our Federal Government can't scrape by on the $2.5+ trillion that they take from us every year, we've accumulated a national debt that is approaching $10 trillion, or $30,000+ per person. We're paying interest on this debt, and someday soon the interest rate will be much higher.  Act now to cut spending, and rescue our grandchildren from a mountain of debt.

Restore the Bill of Rights

I'll fight for all of them. Dissenters and critics will not be quarantined in designated "Free Speech Zones", in violation of the First Amendment.  There will be one giant Free Speech zone, and it will stretch from coast to coast, to cyberspace.

I fully support the Second Amendment, and will not support any restrictions on our rights to defend ourselves. I fully support our 4th Amendment right to be free of searches and seizures, and will fight FISA, warrantless wiretapping and the gestapo-like tactics of the "Transportation Safety" Administration.

I will work tirelessly to restore the 9th and 10th Amendments, to get Washington out of your life, and to give control back to our local officials.
